Tom Colicchio's restaurant on the ground floor is legitimately excellent, and the Financial District location — once considered a drawback — now means peaceful weekends and easy access to the Brooklyn Bridge and Seaport District.

If you must stay near Times Square — and for first-timers or Broadway fans, there are good reasons to — the Moxy handles it better than anything else in the area.
