To eat at Arzak, Mugaritz, or Akelarre, you need to book 2–4 months in advance (sometimes more for special occasions). These are world's-best-50 restaurants and do not have walk-in availability.
La Concha beach is free and the water is swimmable from June through September. The island of Santa Clara is reachable by water taxi from the beach — a wonderful €4 return trip.
