Mont Kiara sits northwest of the city centre and has a noticeably different feel from KL's tourist core — quieter, more residential, and more cosmopolitan in a lived-in rather than staged way. Solaris Mont Kiara and Plaza Mont Kiara host excellent restaurants and specialty coffee shops. Hotels are fewer here but those that exist offer exceptional space and value.
