The Phare de Biarritz is a 19th-century lighthouse standing on the highest point of the coastal cliffs above the Chambre d'Amour, offering panoramic views from its top across the Bay of Biscay and the complete length of the Basque coast from the French border to the Landes. The lighthouse is open for guided visits and the surrounding clifftop park is one of the most pleasant walks in the resort. Hotels within easy reach of the Biarritz lighthouse are in the southern part of the resort, close to the lighthouse beach and a quieter section of the coast.
