Valley Gardens is a 17-acre ornamental park at the southern end of Harrogate, centred on the Tewit Well — one of the original mineral springs discovered in 1571 that established Harrogate's reputation — and featuring a magnificent Edwardian colonnaded Sun Colonnade, a boating lake, and 36 separate spring wells in the Bog Field. In spring the gardens' carpet of crocuses, daffodils, and rhododendrons is one of the finest seasonal displays in Yorkshire.
