The Passeig Arqueologic walkway along Girona's ancient Roman and medieval city walls offers one of the finest elevated promenades in Catalonia, with views over the terracotta rooftops to the snow-capped Pyrenees beyond. Much of the 2-kilometre circuit of walls is walkable, passing towers, gardens, and the cathedral apse at close quarters.
