Tapas in Seville are still largely free with drinks in traditional bars — order a glass of Manzanilla or Cruzcampo at Bar El Comercial or Bar Las Teresas and a tapa appears. This culture is being eroded but survives in the Triana and Macarena quarters.

Seville in July and August averages 37°C and peaks at 45°C. If you visit in summer, plan sightseeing before noon, siesta through the afternoon, and live like a local from 8 PM onwards when the city comes to life again.
